Education:
· Tourism Administration: Universidad Regiomontana
· University of Texas at Arlington: English as a Second Language
· Master in Business Administration: ITESM Tecnologico de Monterrey
· Texas Alternative Teacher Certification: Houston/Dallas ISD Program
I arrived in Dallas Texas on June 3rd 2004 and the next day I began my last summer training. This 2016 will mark my 11th year teaching. I have taught kindergarten, first and second grade. I have worked in corporate environment with American Express, Northern Telecom and Sit Manufacturing until I started to listen more to my heart than my mind. I felt instantly connected when I listened to a co-worker talking about becoming a teacher. Exactly around that time; I heard someone saying that one has all the capacities to make our dreams come true. At the point in my life, I decided to put my capacities to work and I went back to study the art of teaching. I consider teaching one of my vocations in life. The other is being a mother. I have come to the conclusion that in both cases we know when to start but we never finish the leaning process. We never graduate totally.
I was born in Monterrey, Mexico but because of my professional jobs I have traveled to Canada, United Stated and Europe. I think being bilingual is a powerful tool when it comes to finding open professional doors. In my case, being bilingual opened the door to become a Teacher.
I am happily married to my husband, Cliff. We have a loving daughter, Annabella who is 4 years old. We love traveling and spending time together with family and friends. My husband has an Italian background and we hope our Annabella grows learning about our different cultures in the family as well as some other languages besides English.
I am a big believer that parents and teachers should work together as a team searching for the best achievements within our children. I am readily available at the following e-mail or phone number...
